52. The Lost Tomb of Jesus

Commentaries by Luis Bravo Villarán


This important investigation of Simcha Jacobovici, James D. Tabor, Chalie R. Pellegrino and the rest of the so called “the decoders team”, does not affect at all to Christianity nor the Catholic Faith; but it must worry to the Catholic Church and to the Christian churches in general …

We will comment out the DECODERS work in the same order the data appears in the web page http://www.jesusfamilytomb.com/. This document transcribes almost equal some parts of this web page in a way to easier the commentaries.

BRIEF:

Simcha Jacobovici, has carried out an investigation over a tomb found in 1980 in East Talpiot-Jerusalem containing ten ossuaries (six of them with inscriptions, three without and one disappeared and suspected to be the one found from the an antiques collector).

With the help of statisticians, archeologists, historians, DNA experts, robot-camera technicians, epigraphers and a CSI expert from New York's Long Island, Simcha Jacobovici conformed a team called “the decoders” and puts together a case in which he argues that the bones of Jesus, Mary and Mary Magdalene, along with some of their lesser-known relatives, were once entombed in this cave. "Faced with the controversial theological and historical implications of what he calls his "rediscovery," Jacobovici said: "People will have to believe what they want to believe".

They do not challenge the fact of the Resurrection nor the Ascension of Jesus on the fortieth day after the Resurrection although they sustain that if Jesus’ mortal remains have indeed been found, this would contradict only the idea of a physical ascension. However, it says nothing against the possibility of a spiritual one nor does it dispute the idea of the Ascension.

The six ossuaries boring inscriptions are market as: Jesus son of Joseph; Maria; Mariamene et Mara (Mariamene is the name by which Mary Magdalene was known), Joseph, Matthew, and Judah son of Jesus. One of the coffins disappeared and they have reasonably determine that this could be the so called “James (Jacob) Ossuary” that was acquired by the collector Oded Golan, who today confronts a trial in Israel for holding this archaeological piece, whose patina is identical to the one of the other nine coffins of the Talpiot tomb.

L.Y. Rahmani, who wrote the definitive book on the subject of Jewish ossuaries believes that the Mary is of the same generation as, and likely the wife of the Joseph found in the Talpiot tomb.

Professor Amos Kloner who investigated the tomb back in 1996, said about the decoders work: “It is a beautiful history, but without no prove nor nothing similar”. Besides professor Jünger Zangenberg declared that there are no proves that this type of practice -to place the bones of a dead person in an ossuary, after certain time of the death- was habitual by those times, the decoders hold that for only about a hundred years, from 30 BCE to 70 CE (when the Romans destroyed the city), people in the Jerusalem area practiced a form of “secondary burial”. What this means is that when someone died family members wrapped the body in a shroud. Then the family waited—for about a year—for the flesh to decompose. Then one or more members reentered the tomb, gathered the bones together, and placed them in an ossuary or bone box. The box was made for the deceased and had to be long enough to accommodate the longest bone in the body, the femur.

In the case of the lost tomb of Jesus, all this must have been developed in an absolute secret and with too many people –relatives and disciples- involved. Very low probability that this secret had not been known and registered in some writings of the time. Besides, they must have put in agreement too many people to do with the body of Jesus, which would have become: to put it in pieces?. An important aspect to be considered: ¿would have they placed the Jesus remains in a family tomb, in a definitively visible place (East Talpiot) and outstanding it with singular marks and no body beyond his relatives and disciples would have found it out?. ¿Who had dared to the profanation of Jesus’ body and to turn into pieces his skull?

The professor of statistic of the Toronto University Andrey Feueverger, member of the investigation team, declared during the presentation of the documentary video product of the decoders work in New York, that “only there is 1 out of 600 probability that the remains found in the tomb correspond to another family who is not the one of Jesus”.

But what have been found, hardly gives a database that is overly relevant, because out of the inscription poor families don't show up in historical documents and chiseled in stone nearly as often as the rich do. Jesus was not rich. His followers were not either. In any case, professor Feueverger has released his guess without sufficient evidence in the social strata to which Jesus belonged to be relevant. Given that the number of entire families that have been unearthed is but a very low percentage of the actual number of people who lived in that time.

About the inscriptions, out of the Greek’ of Mariamne, which need to be better explained; how do the decoders know that Jesus's mother was known after his death by a latinized form of her name "as more Romans became followers" in the context of pre-rebellion Jerusalem in the middle of the first century?. Do they ignore of what was going on in the cultural and historical context of the time? And isn’t there an obvious contradiction here? People became followers of the Galilean crucified risen Savior, not a middle-class resident of Jerusalem! If Jesus was walking around Jerusalem with a wife and kids, there would be no followers, Roman or otherwise, to be calling Maria to the Jesus’s mother. (James R. White)

DNA tests are performed on human residue taken out of the “Jesus son of Joseph” ossuary and the “Mariamne” ossuary. These tests were conducted by Dr. Carney Matheson at the Paleo-DNA lab at Lakehead University in Ontario, one of the leading facilities of its kind in the world. The degraded samples would not provide enough material for y-chromosome testing. But Dr. Matheson is able to extract enough mitochondrial DNA to test the mother line. The tests demonstrate nothing more that the “Jesus” and “Mary Magdalene” from this tomb are not maternally related.

Other critics are finding fault with the fact that ossuaries found in the tomb are empty, which they say limits the archaeological evidence needed to support the Jesus family tomb claim (Source: The Daily Telegram); the works on DNA given the age of the remains and the fact that there are no full bones present (only small shards) would be very difficult. Then further DNA tests are impossible and the odds of the investigations success will be much lower. If the test can not be carried out or the results are negative, nothing can be proved.

Now three possible scenarios have to be considered:

Thomas 39 (Apocryphal Gospel). Jesus has said: The clergymen and the theologians have received the keys of the knowledge, but they have hidden them. They did not enter there, nor they allowed to enter those that wished to enter. As far as you, be astute like serpents and pure like doves.

The first scenario: assuming the DNA tests can be carried out and their outcome are positive; nothing will happen with the Christianity nor the Catholic faith; both will review the truth and will go ahead strengthen. The catholic church and the churches in general will have to evolve to the “beginning”.

In Revelation (22:13), Jesus says: “I am the ‘Alpha’ and the ‘Omega’ ” i.e., I am the beginning (the principle) and the end (the aim), since “Alpha” and “Omega” are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet; indeed He was the end of the Old Testament where the “fear” predominated; and the beginning of the New Testament where the “love” should predominate. The message of Jesus was LOVE; but the message of the church –the strategy of churches- is the FEAR.

It can also be interpreted the “principle” as the base, the fundament, the sustenance of everything; and the “aim” as the objective or purpose; in both ends, the fundament and the purpose, is the LOVE.

The second scenario: no more tests will be allowed; it will be a pity, because once again, the impression of a concealment will be left. Doubts will be generated throughout the world.

The third scenario: that the tests outcome is negative; nothing will happen, but anyway, the catholic church and the churches in general must -at once and for good- evolve to the “beginning and principle”; toward LOVE. The church cannot continue being preponderantly an economic and political organization; it must be an institution of LOVE.

The change

Indeed … the Church should open the TRUTH and the KNOWLEDGE; the faith will not be weakened, on the contrary it will be reinforced.

Then the church should begin to consider apocryphal gospels, mainly those of Thomas, Philip and Mary Magdalene; the Code of the Bible and -why not- the gospel of Judas. All of them would contain deep truths that church does not accept.

If it is obvious to the human eyes that the Kingdom of Heaven is not physical and the ascension of Jesus Christ would had been only in spirit, that does not change the foundations of the Christianity nor the Catholic faith, whether it is determined or not that the tomb of Talpiot is the tomb of Jesus’ family; and if it is not, be the body of the Savior found or not.

Finally … Jesus Christ - the Son although was a special being- was sent by the Father to live as a “human being”, as a normal man; to pass joys and sadness (He underwent much when Joseph died); to feel and to give peace, as to show indignation and rage (when He threw the merchants out of the temple); to be tempted and to experience successes and failures (i.e. when all their apostles disappeared when He was taken prisoner); to feel fear and weakness; to suffer - in his case in an extreme and very singular way, with stoicism and strength, supporting -in addition to the injustice, the most intense pains. ¿Who can say that He was not human? ; who can say that He was not a man?.

But this, in no way -even considering the Jewish customs, many of which were passed superficially by Jesus- can take us to affirm that He and Mary Magdalene were husband and wife (which on the other hand, from the perspective of a simple reflection -if it is demonstrated otherwise- nothing of bad or observable would have, beyond leaving without its greatest sustenance to the traditional priests celibacy of the Catholic Church, which is a terrestrial issue); less still if He had descendants which -if demonstrated- would not change anything either for the Christianity and/or the Catholic faith. Naturally, to make a more accurate analysis of these issues we would require of theological knowledge that are in a more complex level of elaboration than the one of a simple analysis or questioning reflection; and on the other hand we should wait for the DNA analyses results of the complete set of ossuaries found in the supposed “Lost Tomb of Jesus” or “The Tomb of the Jesus Family”

THE FULL DOCUMENT

Part I

PROVISO – The Resurrection

The Decoders does not challenge the fact of the Resurrection; they however ask the viewers to consider the possibility that it occurred from another tomb –they say a second tomb- different to that in which Christ was originally buried right after crucifixion.

They also suggest that the rumor on that the disciples would remove the body of Christ from the tomb given by Joseph of Arimathea (Matthew 28:12-15) , would be in fact a truth. No comments.

Regarding the second tomb, this does not have much sense, since it is little probable, but impossible, that that second tomb had been in any case, the one of Talpiot, because it would have been too exposed. Therefore it would be necessary to weave that the second tomb had been in fact another different one and that the family had finally moved the body of Jesus to the tomb of Talpiot with the dangers that it would entail. Very weak argument.

There are several testimonies -according to the gospels- that Christ was seen during the forty days after his resurrection.

PROVISO – The Ascension

It is also a matter of Christian faith that Jesus, on the fortieth day after the Resurrection, ascended to Heaven. Christians accept the Ascension as a fact; however, they have long debated certain issues around the Ascension. (decoders web text)

The decoders ask: if Jesus ascended into Heaven, does that mean Heaven is “up?. Nonsense question. ¿Is for instance possible to give three dimensions to the mind, to the intelligence, to the spirit, to the soul?

There is physical impossibility to demonstrate that Jesus is seated to the right hand of God; therefore it is an act of faith. Again this is not a physical figure.

Also the ascent is attested in gospels, but it is at the end an act of faith.

The decoders sustain that if Jesus’ mortal remains have indeed been found, this would contradict only the idea of a physical ascension. However, it says nothing against the possibility of a spiritual one nor does it dispute the idea of the Ascension.

The body of Jesus, is the central issue of the decoders work and will be the central issue along these commentaries.

The Lost Tomb of Jesus

Great merit has the work of the decoders that 25 years after a bulldozer accidentally uncovered what may be the most explosive archaeological discovery of all time, took a fresh look at this astounding cluster of New Testament names.

Ten ossuaries or stone coffins were found inside a first-century tomb, six bore inscriptions: Jesus son of Joseph; Maria; Mariamene (the name by which Mary Magdalene was known), Joseph, Matthew, and Judah son of Jesus.

Through paleo-ADN tests, high-tech robot-cams, crime lab analyses, linguistics, and theological study, the Tomb team arrived at a shocking conclusion … The Lost Tomb of Jesus.

Unlike the “Da Vinci Code”, the Lost Tomb of Jesus, deals with real people. Archaeology is real. The ossuaries are real. The conclusions are left to each one.

The Jesus Family Tomb might well be the most controversial archaeological discovery of all time. The film that documents that discovery is a real-life detective story in which history and cutting edge science combine forces -along with a truly remarkable team of experts (the decoders)- to shed light on one of the world’s most powerfully guarded secrets.

The force of the decoders analysis, is that it is a family tomb: “The Jesus Family Tomb”.

Our commentaries will go through each person presumably identified in the familiar tomb and through the decoders analysis and conclusions; also through the developed activities along the investigation and of the respective conclusions. We will extend in some reflections and some theses of previous papers, to support the commentaries.

In order to refute this work, it is not enough with expressions as the one of professor Amos Kloner who spread the conclusions of their investigation in 1996; he said: “It is a beautiful history, but without no prove nor nothing similar”; neither those of professor Jünger Zangenberg, expert in the New Testament of the University of Leiden (Holland) that said that the theory of the documentary video is not too realistic, because there are no proves that the bones of Jesus were placed in a small stone coffin; indicating that there are no proves that this type of practice -to place the bones of a dead person in an ossuary, after certain time of the death- was habitual by those times; he indicated also that the names in the coffins, do not constitute any prove.

I think that both experts and some others would have to expose deeper analyses to refute the work of the decoders team.

The Second Burial

Despite the indications of professor Jünger Zangenberg, about that there are no proves that this type of practice -to place the bones of a dead person in an ossuary, after certain time of the death- was habitual by those times, the decoders hold that for only about a hundred years, from 30 BCE to 70 CE (when the Romans destroyed the city), people in the Jerusalem area practiced a form of “secondary burial”. What this means is that when someone died family members wrapped the body in a shroud and placed it in a niche within a tomb carved out of the soft rock. Perhaps they left a few artifacts, a perfume bottle, a small lamp to accompany the deceased.

Then the family waited—for about a year—for the flesh to decompose. Then one or more members reentered the tomb, gathered the bones together, and placed them in an ossuary or bone box. The box was made for the deceased and had to be long enough to accommodate the longest bone in the body, the femur. This is why a child’s ossuary is smaller than an adult’s.

I believe that this explains -if happened in the case of Jesus- that would have been not two but three or up to four tombs and -following the track of the decoders- would have revived of the second tomb, and after forty days to have died again buried in the second or third tomb, and then after a year or so, their relatives or disciples, separate its bones finally to pass it to the ossuary found in the family tomb of Talpiot.

Some claim that the second burial practices reflected a new Jewish belief in the Resurrection of the dead. Others state it started as a cultural borrowing from Romans who had subsumed the ancient Greek practice. Others are more practical: secondary burial was in answer to the increasingly high premium placed on Jerusalem real estate. Put simply, ossuaries saved on space.

If the Jewish believed in the resurrection of dead, so ¿why to put in pieces the corpse? ; it is possible to think rather about the cultural borrowing from of Romans or Greeks, although less probable by the Jewish root to its customs and traditions. The one of the increasingly high premium placed on Jerusalem real estate, is simply non sense.

Whatever the reason, the practice of secondary burial in Jerusalem—which took place exactly before, during, and after the life of Jesus—means we should be looking very carefully at the inscriptions and other archaeological evidence from these tombs to determine any links with the early Christians, considering besides that Jesus eliminated many of the Jewish customs through his messages.

All this must have been developed in an absolute secret and with too many people –relatives and disciples- involved. Very low probability that this secret had not been known and registered in some writings of the time.

Besides, they must have put in agreement too many people to do with the body of Jesus, which would have become: to put it in pieces?

An important aspect to be considered: ¿would have they placed the Jesus remains in a family tomb, in a definitively visible place (East Talpiot) and outstanding it with singular marks and no body beyond his relatives and disciples would have found it out?

¿Who had dared to the profanation of Jesus’ body and to turn into pieces his skull?

We leave the answers to the reader.

Not a typical tomb – The symbols

When archaeologists arrived at the site, the first thing they noted was a strange symbol over the door to the tomb, on the south face of the antechamber. They were at a complete loss. They had never seen another like it: a decorative V- or Y-shaped gable or chevron over a prominent circle. It measured more than a meter wide, wider, in fact, than the passage to the tomb beneath it.

At first, it was thought the symbol might have been an unfinished wreath or rosette, a typical image found carved in and around tombs of the Second Temple period, a symbol of royalty. It also may have been left unfinished, it was thought, as many tombs were, with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. All building activity was left frozen in mid-stride when the Temple fell and the Jews were driven from the city.

But upon further inspection, archeologists concluded that the symbol appeared as it was intended to appear. It was a quite beautifully rendered stone relief sculpture. Someone had worked very carefully, almost lovingly, to achieve the smooth, three-dimensional effect. The archaeologists knew that the elaborateness of the façade, especially in a tomb with no other decorative features, was extremely rare.

Puzzlingly, bones had been placed in the antechamber directly underneath the chevron symbol, possibly deliberately. This too was decidedly not typical. In ancient Jerusalem, the dead were placed inside tombs; in tombs, the dead were placed inside ossuaries.

The decoders soon analyze the symbols first in relation to the Mason’s symbols and then in relation to with the Knights Templar.

They discard to the Mason and further they sustain that the Knights Templar have always been linked with ritual practices. Is it possible that the skulls laid out in the tomb and its antechamber were there as part of some twelfth century ceremony?. We do know that the bones are not from the time of Jesus but a much later period.

The conclusion to which the observer is taken, is that the Knights Templar visited the tomb of Jesus and left their bones as a tribute. The bizarre of this story is that with the Knights Templar passion about the Saint Grail, they had left the bones of Jesus in the tomb. ¿Would not be more logical to think than they had taken the Jesus ossuary with them and kept it as a Templar secret?

To relate the symbol in the door of the tomb to the “Supper at Emmaus” of Jacopo de Pontormo (disciple of Leonardo da Vinci), is just to put a touch of competition to this story with the “Da Vinci Code”. By the way the Dan Brown story is weakened before this investigation; but a “Pontormo Code” would be simply another novel.

The All-seeing Eye of the “Supper at Emmaus” of Pontormo, would represent the omni-presence of God. By the way this supper occurred after the resurrection.

If the Tomb of the Ten Ossuaries is that of Jesus and his family, the only people who would have had that information in the first century would have been the Judeo-Christian community of Jerusalem. Interestingly, history tells us that the Judeo-Christians were considered heretics because they held that Jesus was a man and not a divinity. Generation after generation, the existence and location of Jesus’ tomb would have been passed down. Conceivably, it could very well have fallen into the hands of the Crusaders, the Knights Templar, who arrived in Jerusalem as “pilgrims” in the twelfth century.
Commentary: if Judeo-Christian community did not believe in the divinity of Jesus, and they had the demonstration in hand, so ¿why they did not use it?

Accurate Period Depiction

The Lost Tomb of Jesus is a visually stunning documentary, that try to set bold new standards for reenactment.

The team gathered leading anthropologists, social historians, theologians, scientists, linguists and Biblical scholars, to name a few in order to provide such an accurate depiction. The hairstyles, costumes, jewelry, the casting, set design, and even the lighting were all designed with the input of these experts.

Evidently, this depiction will give much to talk about; it could be one of the most impressive representations of Jesus and all his surroundings, but it is nothing but a depiction.

The ten ossuaries

Thousands of ossuaries have been found throughout Jerusalem, from hundreds of tombs. About 20% of these ossuaries bear inscriptions: the name of the deceased, perhaps his function in society, perhaps his father’s name--or his brother’s. These inscriptions were usually done by family members, not professional engravers and are at times barely legible.

The ossuaries of several known Gospel figures have been discovered in the Jerusalem hills, including Simon of Cyrene, who helped Jesus carry his cross on the day to the Crucifixion, the High Priest Caiaphas, and James, the brother of Jesus already mentioned.

In the ossuaries of the presumed Jesus family tomb, every inscription bears a relationship to the Gospels. While the names themselves range from the most common to the fairly rare, it is the cluster of names that is unique.

The first inscription (ossuary 80/503), written in Aramaic (an ancient dialect of Hebrew), states: “Yeshua bar Yosef”. Translated, it reads “Jesus son of Joseph.” This is very rare. Out of all the inscriptions catalogued, only one other “Jesus son of Joseph” inscription (1926) has ever been uncovered since 1926.

The second inscription (ossuary 80/505), written in Hebrew reads: “Maria” 25 % of all Jewish women of the first century in Judea (ancient Israel) were called “Miriam,” in English, “Mary.” As a result, to distinguish one from the other, variants and nicknames were adopted. Through literary sources the name of the mother of Jesus has always come down to us in one way: “Maria”, i.e. the Latin version of “Miriam”. Finding a Latin version of a Hebrew name inscribed phonetically in Hebrew letters is rare. Only eight other such inscriptions have ever been identified.

The third inscription (ossuary 80/502), written in Hebrew, reads: “Matia”. This is the Hebrew original of the English “Matthew”. It is not known whether the writer of the Gospel was one of Jesus’ Disciples, or a member of his family. What is known, however, from the genealogy provided in Luke (3:23) is that unlike Joseph, Mary mother of Jesus, had many “Matthews” in her family. Unlike, say, a “Daniel” or a “Jonah”, the appearance of a “Matthew” in this family’s tomb is consistent with the information provided in the Gospels.
Commentary: Lucas 3:23 gives all the genealogical precedent of Joseph, where in effect, no presence of Matthews may be noticed; but nothing is said about the antecedents of Mary showing the appearance of many “Matthews”. If the Matthew of the ossuary is the writer of the Gospel; ¿what is the explanation of Matthew ossuary presence in the Jesus family tomb?

The fourth inscription (ossuary 80/504), written in Hebrew, reads: “Yose”. This is a very rare rendering, a nickname for the Hebrew “Yosef”, like “Joey” to “Joseph” in modern English. The Gospels tell us that Jesus had four brothers: James, Judah, Simon and Joseph. The “Yose” inscription from this tomb is the only such example of this name on an ossuary. In the Gospel of Mark, Joseph, brother of Jesus, is not called “Joseph”, but “Yose.”
We will analyze about the Jesus brothers further in this document, but we can raise now a reflection: “Yose” definitively is because of “Joseph”; and if it is because of “Joseph” could be the brother, but also be the father of Jesus husband of Maria, who would have died when Jesus was 17 years old.

The fifth inscription (ossuary 80/500), written in Greek, reads: “Mariamene e Mara”, an endearing form of the name “Mariamne.” This is the only inscription found in the tomb written in Greek, and is a second Mary. From the Acts of Philip, a fourth century work ostensibly written about Mary Magdalene’s brother, Phillip, and recently recovered from a monastery at Mt. Athos in Greece, Professor François Bovon (Harvard University) has determined that Magdalene’s real name was “Mariamne”.

The sixth inscription (ossuary 50/501), is also written in Aramaic, it reads: “Yehuda bar Yeshua”. Translated, it means “Judah son of Jesus”. There is no written tradition that Jesus had a son. This small child’s ossuary may have held the mortal remains of the son of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
It’s true that the New Testament says nothing about Jesus having a wife or fathering a child, but it doesn’t say he didn’t. Absolutely nothing in the New Testament indicates that Jesus was celibate. He could very well have been married and had children.

Could Judah, son of Jesus have been the “Beloved Disciple” mentioned in the Gospels? If the “Judah” of ossuary 80/501 was still alive after the crucifixion, he would have been protected by Jesus’ followers.
The supposition that the “Beloved Disciple” of the gospel of Juan was this Judah, is a possibility with no sense; far more possible is that this disciple had been Mary Magdalene (as sustained in the “Da Vinci Code”) instead a boy or a young man (in which case the ossuary found would had no been the one of a boy). The explanation of the decoders in this passage is too weak.

Let us speculate a little about the other three ossuaries without inscription, since the tenth ossuary (the 80/509) would be the one of “James (Jacob) son of Joseph…” and presumably -cannot be affirmed- “ … brother of Jesus“. In the familiar slope -exception made of the ossuary of no body knows what Matthew - and accepting that James (Jacob) is Santiago (Mark 6:3) brother of Jesus, as Judas, Simon and Joseph, could be supposed that the three tombs without inscription could correspond to Judas, Simon and Joseph (either Jesus father or brother, depending who is the Joseph of the ossuary with the “Yose” inscription).

About the inscriptions, out of the Greek’ of Mariamne, which need to be better explained; how do the decoders know that Jesus's mother was known after his death by a latinized form of her name "as more Romans became followers" in the context of pre-rebellion Jerusalem in the middle of the first century?. Do they ignore of what was going on in the cultural and historical context of the time? And isn’t there an obvious contradiction here? People became followers of the Galilean crucified risen Savior, not a middle-class resident of Jerusalem! If Jesus was walking around Jerusalem with a wife and kids, there would be no followers, Roman or otherwise, to be calling Maria to the Jesus’s mother. (James R. White)

But, nothing of this can be affirmed, because to be able to do it, would be necessary to follow the complete track via DNA analysis, what seems to be impossible since some of the ossuaries would not contain remains (The Daily Telegram) and it implies doubts on if the bones found in the ossuaries assumed to be of Jesus and of Maria Magdalena respectively, they belong in effect to them, because it is most probable that if sometime they were found before – that is possible has happened in the first centuries- these remains can have been removed and even changed; being so the analysis would only have a relative and very weak support, limited to the names enrolled in the bones boxes.

Now it will be interesting to analyze the issue related to the “brothers” of Jesus and to how many children would have had Maria; for it we present the edited version of a Mexican brother writing, found in Internet:

Many catholic that get confused if you speak to them of the Bible or the sacraments tradition, they stop you if you touch the Virgin. And you must be neither shepherd, nor prophet, to understand that.

We the Catholics say that Maria was the Virgin Mother of Jesus Christ. The protestants of diverse orientations normally agree. But when you say a protestant that Maria was Virgin, means that she was virgin before Jesus was born, but she later had more children with Jose.

The catholic when we say that Maria was virgin, also say that Maria is virgin; that she never lost his virginity. Neither when he conceived Jesus because it was Holy Spirit act, nor because she lived in abstention until her death.

The problem, according to the evangelical people, is in the Bible. There we found phrases like this: “is he not the carpenter, the son of Maria and brother of Santiago, Joseph, Judas and Simon? and ¿do their sisters live between us?” They mention in addition other passages where it is spoken of: “the brothers of the Lord”.

They insist that Maria had had other children because San Mateo says: “and Jose did not have relations with her until the day Maria gave birth her first-born to whom she put as name Jesus”. The idea is that the expression ”until the day” means that after that day Joseph held relations with her ..... although the gospels never say it. They also affirm that “first-born” means ‘first of several’.

But it is necessary to recognize that in this case as in many others, the problem the evangelists have with Maria as `always virgin' is originated by a partial reading of the Bible and its own prejudices.

Let’s go by parts. The word `brother' in the Bible has a very ample sense. Sometimes it means `in flesh brother', sometimes `cousin in first degree', sometimes `brother' (because a fellow-fraternal type of relationship) and sometimes just because 'fellow citizen'. So ¿why so much of variety?. Because in the old languages of Hebrew and Aramaic that used the Biblical authors there is no a specific word for ’cousin’. They used the word brother with an ample sense. When the Bible was translated into the Greek stayed this ample use of the word `brother', or, in Greek: adelfos.

Thus for example the Genesis 14:14 says that Lot was the brother of Abraham ... and we know that, in fact, Lot was its nephew (Gen.11: 26-28). The first book of the Chronicles says that the Eleazar daughters married with their brothers ... but we know that in fact their husbands were children of their uncle Quis, if fact they were cousins (1Crón.23:22). And as these there is an amount of examples (Deut.23:7; 2Sam.1:26; Gen.29:15; Jer.34:9; etc.).

When the angel said to Maria that she was going to conceive a son, she asked: “how will it be, because I do not know man?” (Lc.1:34). Maria already was engaged with Joseph. One assumes that something she knew of how the children are born. The logical way would be that she and Joseph had children ... with or without the announcement of the angel, why that question?. That can only be explained if we –the catholic- believed since always, that Maria had devoted herself to the Lord by an abstention promise, before committing her with Jose. If Maria already had contemplated the possibility of having children, she would have not asked the angel as how she were going to conceive that announced son.

This does not like to the protestants that do not appreciate the value of the total consecration in abstention of Maria to the Lord. But the Gospel shows us that Maria was faithful to her promise and that except for Jesus, she never had other children.

When Jesus get lost in the temple when he was twelve years old, we see that he is the only son of Maria and Joseph. (Lc.2:41-51). In Nazareth people called Jesus as the son of Maria, not as a son of Maria. Those that sometimes are called brothers of Jesus, are never called as `children of Maria'. And in the crucifixion Jesus gives his mother to his friend Juan ... quite difficult to understand if Maria had more children (Jn.19:26-17).

And ¿what about that of Joseph did not have relations with Maria until gave birth?. The gospel never indicates that after being born Jesus, Joseph had had relations with Maria. The expression ‘until’ here means that before being born Christ, they did not have relations ... and that’s it. As also the Bible says to us that: “Mical, the daughter of Saul, did not have children until the day of her death” (2Reyes:23). ¿Did she have children after her death? Or: “until today nobody knows where Moses was buried” (Deut 34: 6), ¿perhaps today it is known?; it is necessary to understand the meaning of ‘until’ within its context.

¿And about the one “first-born”? this word had a legal sense in Israel, according to which ‘the first fruit of the maternal sine’ was presented to be offered to God. This does not deny any reference to later children neither confirm it (Ex.34:20). If ‘first-born’ meant solely ‘first of several’, the first could not be presented to God until another one was born ..., because how ‘would it be known if it is first-born or not?’.

But at the end, the evangelists deny that Jesus was the only son of Maria, not because it is said in the Bible (the Bible says rather the opposite), but because they believe that the value we -the catholic- give to Maria takes off some of the greatness of her son. ¿How do they not understand that it is because of the greatness of the son that we have gotten to honor so much to the Mother?

I think that it should not be argued anymore with respect to the supposed “brothers” or “sisters” of Jesus. It is not credible that Jesus had had brothers or sisters of his parents and that at least one of them had not had a significant roll in the history; and that they had been hidden by the family and by Jesus himself.
One may argue this, not of Jesus but of the church?; then we can look to the Gnostic gospels rejected by the church, and we do not find anything neither on the matter.


The DNA tests

We finally arrive to the DNA tests. In the documentary "The Lost Tomb of Jesus", DNA tests are performed on human residues taken out of the “Jesus son of Joseph” ossuary and the “Mariamne” ossuary.

These DNA tests are conducted by Dr. Carney Matheson at the Paleo-DNA lab at Lakehead University in Ontario, one of the leading facilities of its kind in the world.

The degraded samples would not provide enough material for y-chromosome testing. But Dr. Matheson was able to extract enough mitochondrial DNA to test the mother line. The tests demonstrate that the “Jesus” and “Mary Magdalene” from this tomb are not maternally related.

The Y-Chromosome test is very useful for determining distant relationships between suspected male relatives to determine whether they are related, in cases where a paternity test cannot be performed. The Y-Chromosome is present only in males and is passed down from father to son to grandson. As a result, the Y-Chromosome test can be used to determine whether two males are related through their paternal line. For example, the Y-Chromosome test can be used to test male cousins, nephews and uncles; grandfather and grandson, etc. to see if they are related along the male line. Males who have a common male ancestor will have the same Y-Chromosome.

Unlike nuclear DNA in which the genes are rearranged by near 50% each generation (due to the process called recombination), there is usually no change in mtDNA from parent to offspring by this mechanism. Because of this and the fact that its mutation rate is higher than nuclear DNA and easily measured, mtDNA is a powerful tool for tracking matri-lineage, and has been used in this role for tracking many species back hundreds of generations.

However, if the ossuaries of Maria the mother of Jesus, Joseph, Jesus, Judah the supposed son of Jesus (and Mary Magdalene), of Jaime (Jacob) the supposed brother of Jesus (supposedly son of Maria and Joseph), several determining tests of mtADN and chromosome can be performed. More test could even be carried out with the ossuaries without inscription. With all those results the world would eliminate doubts, because in case of positive results, the probabilities that this is the family of Jesus and Jesus himself, would obviously raise and little can be made to refute the investigation.

Other critics are finding fault with the fact that ossuaries found in the tomb are empty, which they say limits the archaeological evidence needed to support the Jesus family tomb claim (Source: The Daily Telegram); the works on DNA given the age of the remains and the fact that there are no full bones present (only small shards is assumed) would be very difficult. Then further DNA tests are impossible and the odds of the investigations success will be much lower.

If the test can not be carried out or the results are negative, nothing can be proved and professor Amos Kloner will be right: "This would has been one more beautiful history".


Three possible scenarios

Thomas 39 (Apocryphal Gospel). Jesus has said: The clergymen and the theologians have received the keys of the knowledge, but they have hidden them. They did not enter there, nor they allowed to enter those that wished to enter. As far as you, be astute like serpents and pure like doves.

The first scenario: assuming the DNA tests can be carried out and their outcome are positive; nothing will happen with the Christianity nor the Catholic faith; both will review the truth and will go ahead strengthen. The catholic church and the churches in general will have to evolve to the “beginning”.

In Revelation (22:13), Jesus says: “I am the ‘Alpha’ and the ‘Omega’ ” i.e., I am the beginning (the principle) and the end (the aim), since “Alpha” and “Omega” are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet; indeed He was the end of the Old Testament where the “fear” predominated; and the beginning of the New Testament where the “love” should predominate. The message of Jesus was LOVE; but the message of the church –the strategy of churches- is the FEAR.

It can also be interpreted the “principle” as the base, the fundament, the sustenance of everything; and the “aim” as the objective or purpose; in both ends, the fundament and the purpose, is the LOVE.

The second scenario: no more tests will be allowed; it will be a pity, because once again, the impression of a concealment will be left. Doubts will be generated throughout the world.

The third scenario: that the tests outcome is negative; nothing will happen, but anyway, the catholic church and the churches in general must -at once and for good- evolve to the “beginning and principle”; toward LOVE. The church cannot continue being preponderantly an economic and political organization; it must be an institution of LOVE.


Part II

The change

Indeed … the Church should open the TRUTH and the KNOWLEDGE; the faith will not be weakened, on the contrary it will be reinforced.

Then the church should begin to consider apocryphal gospels, mainly those of Thomas and Mary Magdalene, and the Acts of Philip ; the Code of the Bible and -why not- the gospel of Judas. All of them would contain deep truths that church does not accept.

If it is obvious to the human eyes that the Kingdom of Heaven is not physical and the ascension of Jesus Christ would had been only in spirit, that does not change the foundations of the Christianity nor the Catholic faith, whether it is determined or not that the tomb of Talpiot is the tomb of Jesus’ family; and if it is not, be the body of the Savior found or not.

Some thoughts

The men -thanks to the creation of God- have intelligence, that produces our thoughts; the man’s intellectual capacity, includes in addition to the rationality, the creativity and the inventiveness; the restlessness by the investigation and the search. Some have in addition the understanding that leads to the wisdom, based on an installed capacity, but always attended of the spirituality. As well as there are different degrees and intelligence levels, also there are different degrees or levels of understanding; and so there are more intelligent or less intelligent human beings (related of the productivity in its thinking process and of the quality of thoughts) and also there are more or less wise human beings; or simply there are those -as it happens in most of the cases- that stay at the intellectual level, without any wisdom assistance.

The spirituality, is the divine energy nested in our being that produces the omni-presence of God in our lives, concurring in each one of us, the soul -that is our identity; the spirit -that is our energy; and the body -our motor capacity and the directive force (from the brain, locating the intelligence and the understanding, between the soul and the spirit). It is there where the good and the “absence of good” concur, whose decision is first in our nature and then in our intellect with decision capacity; in order to give grace or to disgrace our identity.


The one that loves me will fulfill my word and my Father will love him, and we will make him our dwelling … the Lord says.

From the Thomas apocryphal Gospels

who is searching should not stop until he finds, and when he finds he will be disturbed, and when he has been disturbed he will astonish and will reign over the totality and he will find the rest.

the Kingdom of God is inside you and is outside you. Who get to know themselves they will find it and when you arrive to know to you yourself, you will know that you are the Children of the living Father.

From the Mary Magdalene apocryphal Gospels (last precepts):

After saying all this, the Blessed said good by to all of them saying: “Peace is with you, my peace arises between you. Keep watching so that nobody misleads you saying: “he is here, here he is”, because the son of the man is inside you; follow him. Those that search for him will find him. Go and proclaim the gospel of the kingdom. Do not impose more precepts than those than I have settled down for you, and do not pass any law, as the legislator, so that you are not tied down by it”. Saying this he left.

(Vision of Maria) She said - I saw the Lord in a vision and I said to him: “Lord, today I have seen you in a vision”. He answered me saying: “Blessed you are, because you have not been disturbed when seeing me, because where the Intellect is, there is the treasure”. I said to him: “Lord, tell me, the one that sees the vision ¿sees it in soul or spirit?”. The Lord answered me saying: “He sees it neither in soul nor in spirit, but that is the Intellect that is between them the one who sees the vision…”

Of the apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans (8:14-17):

Brothers: Those that let themselves guide by the Spirit of God, those are children of God. You have not received a spirit of slaves, who makes you fear again, but a spirit of children, by virtue of whom we can call Father to God. The Holy Spirit himself, being one with our own spirit, gives testimony that we are children of God. And if we are children, we are also inheriting of God and coheirs with Christ, since we suffered with him to be glorified along with him.

Beyond our rational and understanding installed capacity, there is a third inexplicable dimension that often makes wonders and for which much intelligence is not required nor much understanding. I speak of the faith that is fed and reinforced, with the praying. This is accessible by all, more or less intelligent, more or less wise; or simply human beings that have that positive energy load, often too difficult to explain to the intelligence and the reason.

Ecclesiastic ( 42:15-26)

“I am going to bring to the memory works of the Lord and tell what I have seen: All whatever exists has been done by the word of God, and the entire world is put under his will. As the sun light illuminates all the things on Earth, the glory of the Lord fills the creation.

He did not grant to his angels to tell all those wonders, that the all-powerful Lord settled down firmly as a manifest prove of his glory. The Lord penetrates until the bottom of the abysses and of the hearts, and knows all their secrets, because he has all science and knows the movement the stars; he discovers the past, he announces the future and he reveals the most recondite mysteries. No thought is hidden to him, no thing escapes to him. He that exists before the time and for all the time, gave to splendor and greatness to works of his wisdom.

Nothing can be added to him, nothing can be cleared to him and advisor does not need.

What precious are the works of the Lord, and it is just a spark what we see! In the universe everything lives and lasts for always and obeys at any moment to the Lord. All the things differ to each other and, nevertheless, they are complemented. Nothing of which the Lord has done is useless; each one of them affirms the excellence of the other. ¿Who will get tired to contemplate the glory of the Lord? …


The most difficult -and perhaps the most commendable at the end- is what those people with a great intelligence and/or a great understanding reach, having the humility to recognize their human limits; and then from their thoughts and their wisdom, they pass with humility to the praying and they are given to the faith, because they can no longer process, neither understand no more.


However, let’s look for explanation of how they interact in this concurrence of identities in the human being: the soul, the Spirit, the intelligence and the understanding; whose manifestation occurs from the brain, through the body

Of the apocryphal Gospels of Mary Magdalene (to whom with certain logic searchers establish her as the true author of the gospels that the Church attributes to John)

The Matter and the World 7 […] then, ¿will matter then be destroyed or not?. The Savior said, «All nature, all formations and all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots, because the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone. He who has ears to hear, let him hear».


In these apocryphal gospels could be the explanation of the evolution of the soul and its interrelation with the other entities.

Let us begin with the nature and the body. In Page 7, besides affirming the interaction between the nature, the productions, the people - human beings- and the people among them; it reaffirms another divine expression, that says “of the dust you come and dust you will become”, which confirms the temporality of the body and of the creation.


Peter said to Mariamne: «Sister we know that the Savior loved you more than the rest of woman. Tell us the words of the Savior which you remember which you know, but we do not, nor have we heard them». Mariamne answered and said, «What is hidden from you I will proclaim to you». And she began to speak to them these words:

Vision of Mariamne: She said, «I saw the Lord in a vision and I said to Him, Lord I saw you today in a vision». He answered and said to me: «Blessed are you that you did not waver at the sight of Me. For where the intellect is, there is the treasure». I said to Him, «Lord, how does he who sees the vision see it, through the soul or through the spirit?» The Savior answered and said, «He does not see through the soul nor through the spirit, but the intellect that is between the two that is what sees the vision and it is [...]»

Pages 11 - 14 of the manuscript are missing here …

«... For where the intellect is, there is the treasure»; the Lord refers the intellect, as the integration of intelligence and the understanding, this is because He always reiterated closing the his messages saying … «who has ears to hear, let him hear».

The Lord answers to Mariamne: «He does not see through the soul nor through the spirit, but the intellect that is between the two that is what sees the vision and it is [...]»

The understanding to see; intelligence to process; for that reason He affirms, that the vision is not seeing by the soul (that it is the identity), nor by the spirit (that is the divine energy). It is seeing by the “intellect”, that is not the “mind”, but the concurrence of the soul, the Spirit, the intelligence and the understanding.

We expect -we hope- to see God with our physical eyes and He does not make appearances in matter; it appears to the eyes of the intellect, and then of the understanding; for that reason He used to say: “«…Who has eyes to see, let him see»”

How much light we miss to see by those lost pages 11 to 14…

Jesus Christ - the Son although was a special being- was sent by the Father to live as a “human being”, as a normal man; to pass joys and sadness (He underwent much when Joseph died); to feel and to give peace, as to show indignation and rage (when He threw the merchants out of the temple); to be tempted, to experience successes and failures (i.e. when all their apostles disappeared when He was taken prisoner); to feel fear and weakness; to suffer - in his case in an extreme and very singular way, with stoicism and strength, supporting -in addition to the injustice, the most intense pains. ¿Who can say that He was not human? ; who can say that He was not a man?.

He is the only one that can express what is expressed in pages 15 and 16 of the Apocryphal Gospels of Mary Magdalene:

The ascension of soul 15 […] to him, and the desire said, «I did not see you descending, but now I see you ascending. Why do you lie since you belong to me?». The soul answered and said, «I saw you. You did not see me nor recognize me. I served you as a garment and you did not know me». When it said this, it (the soul) went away rejoicing greatly. Again it came to the third power, which is called ignorance. The power questioned the soul, saying, «Where are you going? In wickedness are you bound. But you are bound; do not judge!». And the soul said, «Why do you judge me, although I have not judged?. I was bound, though I have not bound. I was not recognized. But I have recognized that the All is being dissolved, both the earthly things 16 and the heavenly». When the soul had overcome the third power, it went upwards and saw the fourth power, which took seven forms. The first form is darkness, the second desire, the third ignorance, the fourth is the excitement of death, the fifth is the kingdom of the flesh, the sixth is the foolish wisdom of flesh, the seventh is the wrathful wisdom. These are the seven powers of wrath. They asked the soul, «Where do you come slayer of men, or where are you going, conqueror of space?». The soul answered and said, «What binds me has been slain, and what turns me about has been overcome, and my desire has been ended, and ignorance has died. In a world I was released 17 from a world, and in an image from a heavenly image, and from the fetter of oblivion which is transient. From this time on will I attain to the rest of the time, of the season, of the eternity, in silence».

We essay next, some reflections on this message: … the desire said, «I did not see you descending, but now I see you ascending. Why do you lie since you belong to me?»

The desire (that implies appetites and worldly pleasures that are distorted moving us away of the good) says to the SOUL, that it has not seen coming down (to the depths of the inferior levels) and it sees it raise (towards superior levels of accomplishment); leaving the temptation and the evil and raising towards the good; it says then to the soul that it does not lie to him and that the soul belongs to him… the soul is not recognized when dominated by the appetites and pleasures, and is confused with the desire …

Soon it continues the dialogue that occurs in the level of the third power -the ignorance- where the maleficent tries to tie down it and to dominate it and the soul moves away recognizing to be dominated without being able to dominate, but realizing that the universe is being dissolved so much in the terrestrial as in the celestial dimension (in as much as the evil tries to kill all aspiration of the soul to grow towards the celestial dimension).

The soul tries then to release itself and to enter the life -fourth power, the one of the seven forms, the impulse of the wrath, the rage:

The first form, the darkness’s, from where the soul emerges to concur with the spirit in the body that initiates the race to reach; with the body the second shows up, the desire in his expression of primary necessity; the third is the one of the “non-knowledge”, the ignorance that is characteristic of the initial stage of the route; then the fourth - the envy of death- is the space of the doubt, the disagreement, the fear; then the fifth comes in, the dominion of the flesh, that is not other than the desire in its expression of avidity and hedonism; then the crazy intelligence of flesh, the sixth form in which the dilemma between the correctness and the dominion is on the spot, v.v. the degradation, which implies the possible migration of intelligence toward the intellect, that is the way to the seventh form: that of the irascible wisdom, that search, search and keep searching, and generates the irritation of not finding.

The capacity of the human being and therefore its possibility, is to escape of the wrath and to find the calmness coming near to the peace. Then, the soul emerges from the level in which it is (it can come from the darkness’s in search of growing and raising); the desire in its expression of primary necessity will always appear; the ignorance cannot be avoided, but a route in search of the knowledge becomes, which leaves less space to the doubt and the envy; this improves the human being and allows him a better dominion of the flesh, therefore, of the desire control in his expression of avidity and hedonism, which facilitates the integration of intelligence with the understanding, so migrating to the intellect, causing itself the way to forms or levels of wisdom without the excitation that generates the searching without finding.

The seven powers of the wrath, also are of the calmness and the peace; the results are the results of walking through the same spaces, only that in different way. The wrath can take to the degradation of the soul, the peace to its elevation, for which it requires greater dedication, discipline, persistence and much strength.

We reiterate what has been already mentioned: … It is so the concurrence of the “good” and the “absence of good”, whose decision is in our nature first and then our intellect with capacity to decide, in order to gratify or to disgrace our identity…

Then fit within any of the two scenarios, the two questions: «Where are you coming form? And Where do you go?» and the answers can be the same ones: «What binds me has been slain (the body), and what turns me about has been overcome (the wrath), and my desire has been ended, and ignorance has died. In a world I was released from a world, and in an image from a heavenly image. The fetter of oblivion is transient (the body no longer exists -but existed for an instant- the soul find itself again and holds its identity). From then on I will attain to the rest of the time, of the season, of the eternity, in silence».
The result -in the wrath scenario- can be the degradation of the soul and its return to the darkness’s whereas in the scene of peace, the soul elevates.

From the Thomas apocryphal Gospels:

Thomas 112. Jesus said, "Damn the flesh that depends on the soul. Damn the soul that depends on the flesh".

Thomas 87. Jesus said, "How miserable is the body that depends on a body, and how miserable is the soul that depends on these two."

From the Judas apocryphal Gospels:

Judas asks Jesus about that generation and the human generations
Judas said to him, “Rabbi, what type of fruit produces this generation?"
Jesus said, “The souls of each human generation will die. When this people, nevertheless, have completed the time of the kingdom and the spirit leaves them, their bodies will die but their souls will be alive, and they will be elevated.”


In the next paragraphs I try to support this paper in a long work published in Internet, by the Dr Ivan Seperiza Pasquali, that I summarize and complement, in own edition:

With the Torah -Jewish sacred book that constitutes the Old Testament of the Christian Bible- God legated to us an encrypted external text called the “Code of the Bible”, given to Moses, that contains more than 20 trillions of variables of information which they show the detail of the humanity lifetime, from Moses to the Final Days, being a projection of the future lived in the present, by means of a hologram of several dimensions that surpasses all human understanding and all capacity of our imagination or understanding as far as the form in which it was made with love, so that we were noticed on what is coming. The atheist who tried to weaken the method that has allowed knowing the Code of the Bible, have ended up accepting that the Sacred Book is divine and is a nonhuman work.

This Code was tried unfruitful to be deciphered by Isaac Newton (1642-1727). In century XVIII a wise person called the Genius of Vilna, indicated that everything that was, is and will be until the end of times, is indicated in detailed way in the Torah. Torah is a Hebrew word that means instruction or law. It is used with regard to the Bible in two ways: 1) in the general sense of all Scriptures and divine orders; 2) in the particular sense of first five books of the Bible, called: Pentateuch calls (given Greek name to books received by Moses), Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomious. The discoverer of the Biblical Code when talking about the Torah, talks about the Pentateuch of Moses also called “Book de Moses”; “Book of the Law of Moses” and “Book of the Law of Yahweh given by Moses”.

The interpretation of the “Code of the Bible” has begun to in the last twenty years with the availability of computers means (century XX), by the Israeli mathematician Eliahu Rips, who investigated the Torah and the five Sacred Books received by Moses and managed to create a computer program to decipher the encrypted of the Code. There are some who conclude that… it is very, but very different in its meaning and importance say, believe and accept by a mistranslation that God created the man, instead of knowing the truth that indicates that the Gods created the man to their image and similarity.

I resort to illustrate this apparent confusion, to the gospel that the Church attributes to John (1,1-5): “In the principle already existed The one that is the Word, and The one that is the Word was with God and was God. In the principle He already was with God. Every thing came to the existence because of him and without him nothing began of whatever exists. He was the life, and the life was the light of men. "The light shines in the darkness’s and the darkness’s did not receive it.” … It is the “plurality” of God here that is interpreted like “Gods”; we reiterated then the Genesis 1,26; God said: “Lets make the man to our image and similarity… “. “Lets do it”; He spoke to “another one” or “others”; but since He spoke to “other” already God was “plural”; in addition it was the “Holy Spirit” in the principle nested in the “Archangels” and the “Angels” that are not, nor were “human”; nevertheless are the agents of the “omni-presence” through the nestling of the “Spirit” that joints the “identity” of the “soul” in each human being.

I also resort to illustrate this explanation, to the “Theological Sum of Saint Thomas of Aquinas”: The Angels have the supreme degree of perfection between all the creatures. The Angels are the noblest effects of the creation, but they have not been created as independent of the other things and with no relation to the other creatures, but they organize to be part of the universe and of the government and service of the human things, that is, those that have body, as much of the inferior ones, as the man, who participates in his spiritual nature and the one of the physical human bodies.

The theological reason cannot demonstrate the revealed truths, but expose them with convenient arguments. For that reason Saint Thomas writes: “For the perfection of the universe certain graduation in the creatures is required to keep approaching the infinite perfection of God, its Creator. There are creatures who only look themselves as God in existence, as stones; others in living, as the plants and the animals; others, in a imperfectly understanding as the man. It seems then natural, that other purely spiritual and perfectly intellective creatures exist, who look themselves like God of the most perfect way than is possible for the creatures to be alike".


Eons of time ago in a point, by means of a quantum type of jump, emerged myriads of divine sparks. Each one infinitely small and in its individuality equipped with infinite potential attributes to manifest and develop. They gave the jump from the in-manifest in God towards the manifest, emerging initially from the seventh dimension with the purpose of growing when developing its potentialities thought the third, fourth, fifth and sixth dimension (*), and once succeed would infinitely be great and by them self from that point they would return to God.

Thomas 77. Jesus said, "I am the light that is over all things. I am all: from me all came forth, and to me all attained. Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there."

Thomas 18. The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us, how will our end come?"

(*) I essay my own interpretation: “the Fourth” dimension, is our “intellect” (a connection stage that is activated in the concurrence of the “soul” with the spirit; and developed, by the human being); “the Fifth” dimension is the “door” where are the intermediaries of “God” (is in this dimension where the Code of the Bible and the Tables would had been given to Moses in Mount Sinai); “the Sixth” dimension, is the transit to “the Seventh” dimension, that is the “final stage”.

You are one of those divine sparks or spirit (soul) acting in the physical form (that crosses the “quanta”) by means of a body in “the third” dimension. You are a free and immortal spirit, without principle nor end (that comes from “the sixth” dimension and will return crossing the “fifth”, to “the sixth” dimension -where you can remain by long eons of time until it is decided -after the Last Judgment- whether you enter or not the “seventh dimension”. The question -that some people answer affirmatively- is that of “the sixth” dimension you can be entrusted to return to the “third”). The divine spark or spirit gave the form to the soul (that constitutes your “identity”), each soul concurs with the spirit, gives the spark of life to the adapted fetus to fulfill its development in the human incarnation.

No longer you are foreign nor newcomer; you are fellow citizens of the saints and you belong to the family of God, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, being Jesus Christ the angular stone.

¿Are these dimensions a way to envision the soul levels of improvement?


Now, if already it is irrefutable that God exists; if as today the testimonies of the power of prayer are irrefutable -demonstrated among other many tests, in recent simultaneous observations in four hospitals of the USA according to publication of Selections Review- if the Bible and the Gospels (in which it would include the apocryphal ones) that -although are doctrine and could have been fitted in the time by those who had the power to do it for good or for bad- they turn out to be, with observations and critics, the only public evidences v.v. narrations that finish being just novels, although they origin may be located in the restlessness of the human intelligence that search to find a truth or the TRUTH, or perhaps to try to destroy it generating doubts by lack of humility to accept the human limitations; if we arrive to the point to confront a thesis with another one, almost with the only sense to weaken the faith and to impose an empty and dehumanized intellectuality. So ¿why do we have to continue searching for what has been already found?.

The mathematical physical exactitude of the universe occurs with the possibility of being a finite space-time, but without border nor edges, which would demonstrate -according to Stephen Hawking- that to having a begin could not be a moment for its creation; nevertheless he himself Hawking says: “Science has discovered laws that govern the Universe, that allows to predict how it will evolve in any time. Those laws could have been determined by God, but everything indicates that, later, God has left the Universe governs itself by such laws without his intervention. How chose God the initial state of the Universe? If God determined an incomprehensible initial state for the men, so that it decided to let it evolve with laws that are indeed understandable?. (I would respond: for the same reason that gave intelligence, conscience and freedom to the men). All the history of science has consisted of a gradual understanding of which the facts do not happen in arbitrary form, but that reflect an underlying order, that can be divinely inspired or not”.

On the other hand, Hawking sustains: “All scientific theory is a mathematical model that we made to describe our observations. It only exists in our spirit. In that sense, it does not have object to ask itself if ‘the real’ time is more real than ‘the imaginary’ time”.

God creates of the anything, He simply creates with knowing and wishing, with no effort. The Creator would not have left any mystery to us, nor we require of an “Interpreter of God” as some pretend to denominate to Stephen Hawking; simply today we do not have still the capacity to understand everything. Since two hundred years ago the possibility of communicating at a distance was unimaginable, or directly watch events through the TV that happen thousands of kilometers away, and only two decades ago we did not have idea of the Internet and its wonders; perhaps when we dominate the Quantum Physics and the speed of light in some hundreds of years, we will find the explanation of the mysteries of the divine conception and the resurrection. And … ¿why not?, of the Ascension.

The human beings have been chosen by Divine decision, to take care of the planetary kingdom of God, which is not outside God, but that constitutes an intimate dimension of his existence. Nevertheless, the humanity can never declare itself owner or exert control on no aspect of the Divine Creation, to which we perceive in limited forms by means of our limited minds and senses. The Coram says: “The Source of Life generates innumerable forms of organic life, each one in precise balance with the others… the human beings are not the proprietors and they do not control these natural treasures either… all manifest Being only belongs to the Source and Destiny of the Being.” (15:16-25)


I reiterate, these are only reflections perhaps in an articulated manner, but in no way they constitute an interpretation for which, we are not prepared.

In view of the mathematical and physical exactitude of the universe and of the wonder of its creation and of the creation of life in all its forms: ¿what is the meaning or importance if Jesus were born in a grotto or a stable; if He was blond or brown, if He had roller or smooth hair, if He had blue eyes or brown eyes; if Joseph -his father according to the Jewish law- had more children; if after be 12 year old He stayed in Galilee, returned to Egypt or went to India? ; ¿what unqualified pretension sustains that Jesus did not die in the Golgotha when tens testified that his blood went exhausted? ; ¿what sense does it make to clear of the schemes of the faith the mystery of the resurrection and what it came later according to the writings, feeding doubts without sense, when it is known and accepted that the one that can do the more, also can also do the less? ; ¿what sense has to deny the evidence of the undeniable when we see every day the wonders of the divine energy of the Holy Spirit?

Note. - As strange as unnecessary it seems the writing of versicle 24; ¿why this explanation of who writes those testimonies? And how is that he ends up saying… we know that he says the truth… Just when finishing these gospels John clarifies that he is the “well loved disciple” of whom speaks throughout its testimonies in “third person”; ¿why he did not speak in first person if he was the one who wrote?. ¿who are those “we” who said to know that John says the truth. This and other analysis of passages of the gospels of John, make think that he would not be the author of such, for that reason is that some analysts attribute them to Mary Magdalene who in effect, would be the “well loved disciple” of Jesus (Thomas 114).
This leaves with no grounds the decoders speculation about the possibility that the “well loved disciple” could had been Yuda the supposed son of Jesus whose bones were found in the tomb of Talpiot.


The Search and the Knowledge:

But this, in no way -even considering the Jewish customs, many of which were passed superficially by Jesus- can take us to affirm that He and Mary Magdalene were husband and wife (which on the other hand, from the perspective of a simple reflection -if it is demonstrated otherwise- nothing of bad or observable would have, beyond leaving without its greatest sustenance to the traditional priests celibacy of the Catholic Church, which is a terrestrial issue); less still if He had descendants which -if demonstrated- would not change anything either for the Christianity and/or the Catholic faith. Naturally, to make a more accurate analysis of these issues we would require of theological knowledge that are in a more complex level of elaboration than the one of a simple analysis or questioning reflection; and on the other hand we should wait for the DNA analyses results of the complete set of ossuaries found in the supposed “The Lost Tomb of Jesus” or “The Tomb of the Jesus Family
